The Brasserie gets a new look

As the Executive Chef of the Brasserie Restaurant I could not be prouder of the new look Canada Bay Club. Yes, 2020 has been full of challenges, but when I see some of the struggles that many across the world are facing, we consider ourselves very fortunate. While I’ve certainly missed being able to visit my family in Italy, and special family events have been celebrated from afar, there has been much to keep me busy here in the Inner West and at Canada Bay Club.

The new dining space within the Brasserie has a special atmosphere about it – an opportunity to bring the vision of the community meeting place to life, where people of all ages can gather, catch up, and spend quality time together. While our current menu features our classic hits, I’ve been working on an exciting new menu which will become available very soon.

It has been a privilege to deliver these new menus for our members and guests.

I do hope you’ll come and visit and enjoy all that’s on offer.

Alfresco dining and outdoor play area

Alfresco dining is always popular over the warmer months, and the new outdoor play area provides a welcome break for parents with small children in tow. Discover our locally brewed coffee, perhaps over a slice (or two) of one of our cakes. My staff and I have enjoyed meeting all the new faces with Mother’s group gatherings in the mornings, friends catching up over lunch, and families returning for an evening meal.

Our ‘Kids Eat Free’ promotion has recommenced every Monday and Tuesday evening. Don’t forget that Canada Bay Club members will receive one complimentary kids’ meal when they purchase one adult main meal. There are also free games on selected machines in the Kids’ Arcade between 6pm and 9.30pm on Monday and Tuesday nights.

We can also now accept bookings for up to 30 people per group. Our outdoor area can accommodate one (1) person per two square metres (2m2). Please note COVID-19 restrictions will still apply, which means patrons must remain seated and cannot mingle with others in the venue until further notice. A small price to pay to keep our members safe and we’ll continue to monitor and review as per government regulations.

Classic Italian inspired meals

I love sharing food and recipes as it reminds me of home and family. Food is always an integral part of our family catch-up each week. Our wood fired pizza oven was installed at the Club in late 2018, and in 2019 I wrote a blog post sharing my top tips for making great wood fired pizza.

For my next installment, I’ve shared the Aria family pasta recipe for you to try making your own pasta at home. I hope you will share this special family recipe with your own families.

We hope to see you in the Brasserie soon.

Buon appetito!

Marco Aria
