Hitting aces!

Dust off the tennis racquets and have a hit with the pros at Leichhardt Tennis Academy. Sign up for one day or opt for the three-day school holiday program, which suits all ages and abilities. The training sessions include top trainers on hand every day to help with form and scoring those aces! Conveniently located on the grounds at Leichhardt Secondary College, it’s easy to get to, plus there’s early drop-off available from 8am. What’s not to love?

Park play!

Soak up the sunshine with the kids at Livvi’s Place, just down the road in Five Dock. This exceptional outdoor space includes swings, rope climbs, interactive pathways and BBQs for lunch under the shaded seating. Take the kids’ bikes along, peddle around the bike track and go on a two-wheeled adventure through the trees. You won’t even know you’re right alongside the City West Link it’s that rustic. Plus, the kids will love the bumps and dips along the track. Just don’t forget your helmets!

Find a buddy!

If the weather isn’t cooperating and you’ve got a house full of kids, take a trip to Jungle Buddies. In the heart of Canada Bay, this massive indoor play centre caters to the younger age group and junior school kids. If your little people aren’t completely pooped from all the climbing and exploring, Jungle Buddies offers school holiday activities like art and crafts to keep them occupied, too. Keeper for day!

Talk to the animals at Taronga Zoo and get your keeper hat on! For the animal lovers you can’t beat a day (or two?) engaging with the sights of one of the most amazing locations in Sydney while learning about the habitats and wildlife at the zoo. Kids take a trip on the Sky Safari, meet a real-life zookeeper, complete daily missions and get the best seats in the house at the QBE Free-Flight Bird Show or Seal Show as part of their day. Prices start at $69 per day and there’s an “extended supervision” option for longer days.

Flying high!

Whether it’s flying through the air learning trapeze or the perfect mix of circus tips and tricks, Circus Arts at Homebush offers your little daredevil plenty of action these school holidays. From tumbling and juggling, to bouncing and balancing, there’s something for every little clown and acrobat. The two-hour workshops start at $49 each and provide outdoor fun for the kids and a chance to make friends, while learning from the best in the business.
