At Canada Bay Club, seniors form a very important part of our community. They are our longest serving members and we make it a priority to contribute to organisations that assist older people in the local area to help give them the support and services they need.

Does your child play in a local sporting group? Canada Bay Club believes these grassroots organisations provide so much support, guidance and health education for our children, which is why the club donated more than $500,000 to community groups, schools and local sporting clubs in 2016. We’re committed to championing our up-and-coming young sportspeople. From rugby league, to soccer and netball, no sport is ignored at Canada Bay Club. We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built in the Inner West and constantly strive to help enable a healthy, active lifestyle for the next generation of community members and athletes. Our kids in the Inner West are getting into the running and athletic season with lots of running initiatives and running groups to choose from. These groups assist the kids to learn the correct running technique and set athletic goals with the added benefit of a fun and social group. It is no surprise that so many kids are finding their way onto the track (or grass) and giving it a go.

The Inner West has been – and continues to be – home to many exceptional men and women who have made their mark on Australia’s artistic, sporting and civic life, as well as on the international stage. Meet some of our most noteworthy local residents – from the pioneers of early white settlement to contemporary local heroes – whom we’re proud to call our own.
